As a Ruminant Technical Advisor at Trouw Nutrition GB, where you will use your technical expertise to support colleagues, work closely with customers, and contribute to innovative solutions that improve livestock health and productivity.
This role is ideal for candidates 1–2 years out of university, with some exposure to ruminant nutrition, who are eager to grow into a broader technical and customer-facing role.
About the Role – Support and Deliver Technical Excellence
Responsibilities:
Serve as a technical point of contact for the Technical and Formulations teams, providing guidance on product formulation, nutritional specifications, and on-farm solutions
Collaborate with commercial colleagues to deliver presentations and advice to customers, ensuring technical information is clear, actionable, and engaging
Support the planning and execution of technical projects, including trials, campaigns, and internal training programs
Focus on key ruminant nutrition areas, providing insight and expertise to support decision-making
Stay up to date with the latest scientific research, industry trends, and regulatory developments, translating insights into practical guidance for colleagues and customers
Contribute to local and global innovation initiatives, helping bring new products and solutions to the UK market
Participate in on-farm visits, customer meetings, and industry events, confidently representing Trouw Nutrition GB and its technical expertise
Skills and Expertise
Qualifications:
Degree in Animal Nutrition, Agriculture, Veterinary Science, or a related field
Some experience or exposure to ruminant nutrition (1–2 years post-university)
Understanding of the farming/livestock industry
Proactive, curious, and eager to learn, with strong communication and presentation skills, able to work effectively with colleagues and customers, manage multiple projects, and handle data efficiently.
Willingness to travel occasionally to customer sites
Location: hybrid role based in the Ashbourne, with flexibility to work from home
