• Ensures appropriate controls are in place to monitor delivery against the plan.
o Chairs regular, robust and holistic project reviews on the progress and performance of the project.
o Regularly reviews risk, both positive (opportunities) and negative (threats) on the project.
o Regularly checks for any changes on the project.
o Drives consideration of opportunities to deliver efficiencies and margin improvement.
o Monitors the issue and payment of invoices.
• Oversees formal closure of the project.
o Confirms deliverables have been issued and accepted by the Client.
o Checks the Client is satisfied with the service they have received.
o Agrees the plan for sharing any significant lessons that have been captured.
o Confirms the project has been formally closed.
Essential
• Relevant successful experience in project management
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Detailed knowledge of Construction Design & Management (CDM) Regulations 2015
• General knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental Regulations
• Team leader capable of motivating the team
• Commercial and financial understanding and knowledge
Successful applications will be required to be security cleared prior to appointment
Desirable
• Membership of the Association for Project Management or other professional body
• Six Sigma Yellow Belt
• A degree or equivalent
• Knowledge of investment processes and procedures
• Knowledge and understanding of project and contract management
