Cleaner Building Merchant

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team in a vital role focused on maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our facilities. This position is crucial for ensuring a welcoming environment for both staff and customers at Jewson Chesterfield

The position is for 5 hrs per week. Tuesdays & Thursdays 2.5hrs per day. Starting times are flexible but preferably mornings. 

Key Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning tasks in various areas of the building, including offices, restrooms, and communal spaces.
• Ensure all cleaning equipment and materials are used safely and stored properly.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
• Assist in maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies and request replenishments as necessary.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a cleaning or maintenance role is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Ability to manage time effectively and complete tasks in a timely manner.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of cleaning products and equipment.
• Experience in a customer-facing environment.
• Basic understanding of health and safety regulations.
