Casual Night Guest Service Assistant

The Copthorne Hotel Manchester is seeking a Casual Night Guest Service Assistant to assist in the smooth operation of the hotel during the course of the night.

What the Casual Nights Guest Service Assistant role involves:

• Having a complete operational knowledge of the hotel, including geographical layout, services provided, personnel structure/duties and security as well as knowledge and provision of local area.
• To arrange for the collection, delivery and storage of guests luggage and non - valuable property according to Company policy.
• Responsibility for the overall cleanliness of the Front Office and external public areas
• To assist in maintaining the security of the hotel and controlling entry to the premises in compliance with licensing regulations.
• To operate the night porter’s bar according to company procedures, Licensing, Health and Hygiene regulations and to ensure that proper billing procedure is followed at all times.
• Having a full knowledge and understanding of the Hotel Fire and Evacuation Procedures and ensure compliance at all times.

As a Casual Nights Guest Service Assistant, you should have:

• Polite and courteous manner, with a positive ‘can do’ attitude
• Flexible approach to work with the ability to carry out a variety of tasks
• Previous experience within hospitality/similar
• Typical shifts will be 22.30 pm to 7.00 am, including weekends.
• Experience with Opera operating system is advantageous.
