An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Cardio-Respiratory Department at Chesterfield Royal Hospital for a Band 2 Technical Assistant.

You will assist with providing a range of cardiac investigations on inpatients and outpatients whilst supported by a team of Cardiac Physiologists.

This role will include performing 12 Lead ECG’s on both inpatients and outpatients. Independently fitting ambulatory 24/48 hour ECG monitors and longer Cardiac Event Monitors. Setting up and downloading ambulatory ECG monitors in readiness for analysis. Fitting ambulatory Blood Pressure monitors and printing off results. Opportunity to complete the SCST Certificate in Electrocardiography.

Technical Assistants are an active members of the Cardio-Respiratory team, contributing to the smooth and efficient running of the service. In addition, the post holder will ensure courtesy, privacy, confidentiality and respect at all times to patients, relatives, staff and colleagues.

Chesterfield Royal Hospital was officially opened by the queen in 1985 and since then it has continued to expand and modernise, currently holding approximately 500 beds. We provide acute in-patient and out-patient care for Chesterfield and the surrounding rural area of North Derbyshire, serving a population of approximately 400,000 people.
