Wholesale Assistant

Debenhams Group
Full-time
On-site
Manchester England United Kingdom

You know all about our high street roots and bricks and mortar stores. Now, we're looking to the future. Since 2021, we've embraced some changes. Debenhams hasn’t made a comeback - we’ve been here since 1778, evolving and adapting to the times. This is Debenhams today - Britain’s Leading Online Department Store.

We are more than a department store - we are an institution. From creating the blueprint for designer collaborations with designers at Debenhams, to launching countless brands and inventing the beauty counter, we’ve consistently shaped the retail landscape.

We don’t underestimate the power of our brand or the place we hold in people’s hearts. This is only the beginning of the next chapter for Debenhams.

Britain needs Debenhams.....Debenhams needs you!

The Role

We’re looking for a proactive and detail driven Wholesale Executive to support the day to day management of the Debenhams Wholesale business. In this role, you’ll act as a key point of contact for our partners - ensuring data accuracy, seamless order delivery, and the optimisation of sales opportunities across multiple categories.

Working closely with Buying, Merchandising, Supply Chain, Finance and Creative teams, you’ll play a vital role in order management, allocation planning, and supporting the onboarding of new partnerships. If you’re commercially minded, organised and thrive on cross-functional collaboration, this is an exciting opportunity to grow within a dynamic retail environment.

What you will be doing

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with wholesale partners through regular communication and efficient issue resolution.
  • Use independent judgement to continually review sales performance, highlighting risks and opportunities to the Wholesale & Marketplace Manager.
  • Work closely with brand teams to fulfil partner OTB, ensuring commitments are tracked, allocated and dispatched in line with deadlines.
  • Track partner deliveries in collaboration with brand and warehouse teams, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Manage stock allocation and oversee the PO process, liaising with Supply Chain to ensure timely dispatch of all products.
  • Update and maintain partner trackers, including PO amendments and cancellations.
  • Collate and prepare invoice information for the Finance team to support partner payment processes.
  • Manage Amazon Vendor Central accounts, brand stores and inventory.

What you can bring

  • Strong computer skills, including advanced Excel knowledge (lookups, pivot tables).
  • Experience handling large data sets with accuracy and consistency.
  • Strong commercial awareness with a solid understanding of planning and trading principles.
  • Excellent prioritisation skills, with the ability to meet challenging deadlines aligned to the critical path.
  • Exceptional communication skills—confident when partnering with key accounts, brand teams and supply chain stakeholders.
  • Professional, confident and comfortable participating in customer-facing meetings.
  • A continuous improvement mindset and desire to enhance processes and team efficiency.
  • Ability to balance detail with a broader strategic view, always collaborating as a strong team player.
