About the Role

Are you a recruitment or HR professional looking for a new challenge? Do you enjoy shaping recruitment strategy and delivering an exceptional candidate experience? Are you ready to own end-to-end recruitment across various teams?

We are seeking a new in-house Talent Acquisition Administrator to help spearhead our company’s growth. In this role, you will be responsible for all stages of the recruitment process for various positions across our service offerings and offices, delivering an excellent recruitment experience for all candidates. You will manage multiple roles simultaneously, making the role varied and fast paced. Working alongside hiring managers, you will support our strategic approach to recruitment and candidate attraction, as well as innovation and improving our processes.

More Than a Recruiter

One of Costello Medical’s founding values is “Talent & Opportunity”, and our approach to recruitment focuses on providing entry-level opportunities and developing talent from within the business. This means the Talent Acquisition Administrator role will also involve the coordination of our attendance at university careers fairs, building relationships with university careers advisors and running our own careers events. You will also use your experience to provide advice and guidance to students, graduates and post-graduates as they start their professional career. As we continue expanding our service offerings to clients, we are also hiring professionals with experience in new areas, providing opportunities to learn about recruitment strategies for both entry-level and senior positions.

You will also be involved in projects that may involve developing and improving internal processes and guidance, contributing to our employer brand, boosting our recruitment marketing efforts, furthering our commitment to diversity and inclusion, and continuing to innovate our practices.

We are a friendly and ambitious team, and we are looking for somebody who is as passionate as we are about delivering exceptional levels of customer service both to our internal colleagues and to candidates.

The Impact of Your Work

At Costello Medical, the Talent Acquisition team enables life-changing work across healthcare. The colleagues we hire go on to improve patient lives by helping doctors, researchers, hospitals, and policymakers understand complex healthcare science and make smarter decisions about care and costs. The impact of our work includes making drugs available on the NHS, educating healthcare practitioners and patients about treatment options, writing scientific publications, informing government policy changes and much, much more. By hiring and onboarding exceptional graduates, post-graduates and professionals from the STEM sector, you will be ensuring our teams to grow and, in turn, grow their work within this field.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • End-to-end recruitment administration for multiple roles, including the creation and posting of job adverts, reviewing applications, marking assessments and arranging interviews
  • Overseeing our recruitment inbox and answering candidate queries
  • Conducting telephone interviews, reviewing self-recorded video interviews and greeting candidates arriving for face-to-face interviews
  • Headhunting and proactively reaching out to prospective candidates
  • Using your expertise (which you will develop over time in the role) to provide guidance and support to hiring managers regarding our talent acquisition strategies and candidate attraction methods
  • Researching, organising, hosting and attending career fairs with universities and other professional or student-focussed organisations
  • Ensuring our recruitment procedures are fair, inclusive, and comply with best practice
  • Ad-hoc tasks and projects in support of the wider People and Talent Acquisition function. Examples of which may include supporting with diversity and inclusion projects, creating new features and content for our website, gathering feedback from new employees and implementing other creative recruitment solutions

Hybrid Working Policy: We believe that having face-to-face time in the office holds many benefits and is central to ensuring that the community we have created, where people have a workplace they belong to and feel part of, is never lost. At the same time, we recognise that homeworking can improve work life balance, reduce commuting times and costs, and provide the opportunity to juggle personal commitments.

Therefore, we offer flexible working arrangements that allow our colleagues who have passed probation to work from home up to half their time, measured across a 2-week rolling period. During your probationary period (normally the first 6 months of the role), you will be able to work from home 1 day per week.
