This is a reputable leadership role within Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS Foundation Trust, based at the Royal Derby Hospital. The post of Clinical Lead Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) for Voice, Head and Neck Cancer, and ENT offers the opportunity to work at an advanced clinical level, providing expert assessment, treatment, and service development. The role combines direct patient care with leadership, research, and education, ensuring high standards of evidence-based practice and collaborative multidisciplinary working.   • Provide advanced clinical expertise in the assessment, diagnosis, and management of complex voice disorders, head and neck cancer, and tracheostomy/laryngectomy/airway cases.

  • Deliver highly specialist, person-centred interventions and second opinions, working collaboratively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

  • Lead on service development, ensuring high standards of care through evidence-based practice, research, clinical audit, and innovation.

  • Act as a professional leader for the Speech and Language Therapy team, providing supervision, training, and mentorship to colleagues, students, and assistants.

  • Contribute to education and training for staff and wider professional groups at local, regional, and national levels.

  • Influence and support policy, strategy, and service improvement within the Trust and across partner organisations.

  • Maintain professional registration, continuous professional development, and a strong national profile in the clinical specialty.
