The Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Payroll Administrator to play a key role in supporting payroll operations across a growing, multi-entity international business.
Reporting into the Global Payroll Manager, this is a hands-on role responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and controlled payroll delivery across multiple regions. You will review payroll outputs, manage complex queries, maintain payroll systems, and support continuous improvement, while providing guidance and oversight to a Payroll Administrator.

What You’ll Do
Payroll Delivery & Support
- Support the end-to-end payroll process across multiple international entities
- Review payroll calculations and outputs to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Coordinate payroll submissions to external providers, ensuring completeness and compliance
- Work closely with Finance to ensure payroll payments are processed accurately and on time
Payroll Queries & Employee Experience
- Act as a key point of contact for payroll and benefits queries across the business
- Manage and resolve queries via the payroll inbox and internal systems (including Halo)
- Provide clear, professional guidance to employees, delivering a consistent and trusted payroll experience
Global Benefits & Reward
- Support the administration of benefits and reward schemes across multiple countries
- Oversee new starter enrolments and maintain accurate benefit records
- Assist with bonus documentation and communications
- Act as an escalation point for more complex benefit queries
Employee Lifecycle
- Maintain accurate payroll and benefits data within the HRIS
- Process payroll changes, including deductions and adjustments
- Manage payroll-related leaver processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Compliance & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain accurate payroll and benefits records, ensuring audit readiness
- Support the development and maintenance of payroll documentation and templates
- Operate with strict confidentiality and in line with data protection requirements
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and control
Team Contribution
- Provide support and guidance to the Payroll Administrator
- Act as a reliable escalation point within the payroll function
- Contribute to a high-performing, collaborative payroll team

- Proven experience in payroll (3+ years preferred), ideally within a multi-entity or international environment
- Strong understanding of payroll processes and controls
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Clear and confident communication skills
- Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
- Strong Excel and systems capability (payroll systems experience essential)

- Location: Manchester City Centre
- Working pattern: 3 days office / 2 days home (post-training)
- Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience)
