New Bath Hotel & Spa is a beautiful 54-bedroom hotel located in the heart of Matlock Bath, within the scenic Peak District National Park. The hotel stands as a testament to the area's rich history, with origins tracing back to 1745 when it began as a bathing establishment centred around a natural spring that still flows today. The hotel features a historic outdoor swimming pool known as the New Bath Hotel Lido. Established in 1934, this unique lido is supplied by mineral-rich spring water from the nearby mountainside, ensuring a natural and chemical-free swimming experience.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a proactive sales strategy to drive revenue across weddings, events, corporate bookings, and group stays.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities through networking, outreach, and relationship-building with local and regional partners.
- Manage the end-to-end sales process including enquiries, show rounds, proposals, negotiation, and closing sales.
- Maintain and grow relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and repeat guests.
- Represent the hotel at wedding fairs, networking events, and local business forums.
- Work closely with marketing to promote packages, seasonal offers, and key events.
Event Management Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate all events including weddings, private functions, conferences, and in-house events.
- Be the main point of contact for clients from initial enquiry through to the day of the event.
- Liaise with internal teams (kitchen, spa, front of house) to ensure seamless delivery.
- Create detailed event function sheets and ensure all operational details are executed to the highest standard.
- Manage budgets and ensure profitability of all events.
- Handle guest feedback and resolve any event-related issues professionally.
You Have
- Considerable practical working experience in a sales and events role in a hotel environment or related industry.
- An understanding of key social media platforms to attract various target audiences
- Previous experience in Opera, Salesforce, and STR Is preferable, however, training Is provided.
- Sound knowledge of online and offline sales research techniques.
