Local info
Our residential support worker will be lucky to work in the charming village of Kilburn a picturesque tranquil setting where our four young people will call home.
We are looking for individuals with leadership experience or a background as a senior in a similar role. Given the challenging backgrounds some of our children have faced, a background in managing difficult behaviours is crucial. Resilience, empathy and a caring attitude are essential qualities needed to provide unwavering support during tough times. Your role will involve ensuring the well-being of our children remains paramount through the delivery of person-centred care, guidance and advocacy, guaranteeing their safety, health and potential are always at the forefront.
About the role
Kilburn Residential is Action for Children's newest residential care home which will provide accommodation for four Children and Young People up to the age of 18years.
You will be working with people with emotional and behavioural difficulties providing direct support and guidance to help them navigate their daily challenges. You'll be responsible for creating a safe and nurturing environment where you can build trusting relationships with the young people in your care.
As a residential support worker you will implement the individualised care plans, promoting positive behaviour and helping the young people develop essential life skills and ensure each young person receives a holistic support they require.
Our approach is therapeutic, driven by love and a commitment to helping our young people thrive. We aim to integrate our children into the community as much as possible by supporting and encouraging independence as they transition into adulthood.
