About the Team:


The Regulatory Compliance Specialist will play a key role in ensuring that all products, packaging, labelling, and documentation meet applicable global regulatory, environmental, and quality standards. Supporting teams across all business areas, this role provides expert guidance on regulatory pathways, market entry, environmental compliance, and documentation control. The Specialist will work cross-functionally to ensure that all materials from product user manuals to packaging artwork comply with relevant requirements and maintain the company’s commitment to safe, sustainable, and compliant innovation.

 

About the Role:


Artwork, Labelling & Product Documentation

  • Review and approve product artwork, packaging, and labelling to ensure compliance with regional and product specific regulatory requirements.
  • Verify the accuracy of mandatory information, claims, symbols, and translations across all packaging and marketing materials.
  • Review and sign off on product user manuals and instructions for use (IFUs), ensuring they meet safety, linguistic, and regulatory standards.
  • Provide guidance on electrical safety testing requirements and ensure test results and certifications are appropriately reflected in technical documentation and labelling.

Regulatory Strategy & Market Access

  • Provide strategic regulatory guidance for product classification, registration, and compliance across multiple regions, including EU MDR, UK MDR, Health Canada, TGA, and key APAC markets.
  • Advise on regulatory pathways for medical devices and related technologies, supporting efficient and compliant routes to market.
  • Support market-entry activities for new regions by identifying applicable regulations, standards, and documentation requirements.

Environmental, Compliance & Regulatory Support

• Provide guidance on environmental and sustainability regulations.
• Contribute to maintaining compliance frameworks aligned with ISO 13485, ISO 9001, or other relevant standards, and support internal and external audits as required.
• Monitor changes to international regulations and environmental requirements, ensuring timely updates to internal processes and documentation.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities, certification bodies, and external partners to support compliance activities and market access.
• Collaborate with internal teams to embed regulatory and environmental considerations throughout the product lifecycle.

  

Candidate Requirements:

·      Bachelor’s degree in Regulatory Affairs, Life Sciences, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.

·      Minimum 3+ years of experience in a similar regulatory role, ideally within the medical device, cosmetics, or related industry.

·      Proven experience working with international regulatory frameworks,ideally including EU MDR, Health Canada, TGA, and APAC requirements.

·      Strong understanding of environmental and sustainability compliance

·      Experience reviewing and approving packaging, labelling, artwork, and product documentation for compliance.

·      Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interpret complex regulations and translate them into actionable business requirements.

·      Highly organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple projects and stakeholders across different regions.
