ABOUT THE ROLE

You will be responsible for supporting the Manchester office team with general office administration and providing a well-organised reception service to external clients, visitors, and employees. This is a full-time position working 35 hours per week where it is required for you to work in the office Monday to Friday.

The key purpose of this role is to be the main point of contact for any office queries and to support our internal teams deliver seamless business operations. You will act as a problem solver, team player and use your initiative to maintain the office environment ensuring it is well stocked and a great setting to work from.

WHAT MATTERS MOST IN THIS ROLE

A key role will be to deliver exceptional communication with internal and external parties, manage the busy incoming phone line, take accurate meeting minutes, and organise internal and external meetings.

In additional you will help to organise office events, mange the meeting room booking system, organise working lunches where necessary, as well as managing the petty cash and reconciling receipts before sending to our accounts team. You will also be required to offer any support to the surveying teams as needed such as providing keys to contractors.

A high level of attention to detail will be required in preparing documents and reports.

Other duties will include:

  • Ordering and organising office stationery and ensuring items received match the delivery note.
  • Typing meeting minutes and distributing report to the relevant teams.
  • Reconciling and approving invoices before sending to our Accounts team.
  • Ensure all equipment and ID cards are arranged for all new starters.
  • Managing the internal desk booking system and accepting appointments for our Meeting rooms.
  • Act as the office Fire Marshall, helping to coordinate fire drills.
  • Other duties as required.

  • Previous experience working in a similar role and busy office environment, ideally in a professional services industry.
  • A friendly, organised and proactive approach with a strong team ethic and a positive attitude to problem solving.
  • Accuracy, attention to detail, and exceptional time management skills.
  • Eager to take on more responsibilities and projects, act on your own initiative and remain calm under pressure.
  • Accurate typing and confident using Microsoft Office packages.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise a high-volume workload.
