The Role
We are looking for a Payroll Administrator to play a key role in supporting payroll operations across a growing, multi-entity international business.
Reporting into the Global Payroll Manager, this is a hands-on role responsible for assisting with accurate, timely, and controlled payroll delivery across multiple regions. You will provide payroll outputs, assist with payroll queries, maintain payroll systems, and support continuous improvement, while providing administrative support to the payroll team.
This role is suited to someone who thrives in high-performance environments and takes pride in precision, accountability, and operational excellence.
What You’ll Do
Payroll Delivery & Support
- Support the end-to-end payroll process across multiple international entities
- Process payroll calculations
- Support in ensuring payroll payments are processed accurately and on time
Payroll Queries & Employee Experience
- Assist the Payroll Manager and Senior Payroll Administrator in resolving queries via the payroll inbox and internal systems (including Halo)
Global Benefits & Reward
- Support the administration of benefits and reward schemes across multiple countries
- Oversee new starter enrolments and maintain accurate benefit records
- Assist with bonus documentation and communications
Employee Lifecycle
- Maintain accurate payroll and benefits data within the HRIS
- Process payroll changes, including deductions and adjustments
- Assist with payroll-related leaver processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Compliance & Continuous Improvement
- Support the maintenance of payroll documentation and templates
- Operate with strict confidentiality and in line with data protection requirements
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and control
Team Contribution
- Provide support to the payroll team
- Escalate any complex issues to the payroll team
- Contribute to a high-performing, collaborative payroll team
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in payroll (2+ years preferred), ideally within a multi-entity or international environment, but not required.
- Strong understanding of payroll processes and controls
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Clear and confident communication skills
- Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
- Strong Excel and systems capability (payroll systems experience essential)

Additional Information
- Location: Manchester City Centre
- Working pattern: 3 days office / 2 days home (post-training)
- Hours: 37.5 per week
- Salary: £28k-£30k per annum
