The Role

You will play a pivotal role in the smooth functioning of our payroll processes.  You will assist with the processing of our weekly UK payroll using the CoreHR system, as well as independently managing a small monthly payroll from end to end.  Additionally, you will be responsible for accurate data input into relevant applications for the Group.

Your Team

Join our small and vibrant team of four dedicated professionals who oversee the entirety of the Group's payroll operations, managing both weekly and monthly UK payrolls along with seven international payrolls.  Our team is characterised by its warmth and camaraderie, where we not only work diligently but also enjoy a lively and supportive environment.  We prioritise continuous learning and development, ensuring our team stays up to date with the latest payroll regulations through annual training courses.

What you'll be doing

  • Processing new employee onboarding and handling employee offboarding procedures.
  • Managing changes to employment terms and conditions, including adjustments to payroll.
  • Handling statutory claims such as Statutory Maternity Pay (SMP), Statutory Paternity Pay (SPP), and Statutory Sick Pay (SSP).
  • Processing Court Orders and Attachment of Earnings Orders as required.
  • Issuing P45s for departing employees and processing P45s for new hires.
  • Executing comprehensive payroll processes utilising CorePay.
  • Administering and reconciling pension schemes and company share schemes.
  • Setting up and maintaining supplier accounts in relevant systems, including amendments to bank details and other pertinent information.
  • Processing manual refunds for UK customers.
  • Undertaking any additional administrative tasks as needed.

What we're looking for

  • Exceptional attention to detail coupled with a pragmatic mindset.
  • Experience in payroll administration.
  • Demonstrable expertise in payroll management with up-to-date knowledge of current legislations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with HMRC and local councils when necessary.
  • Familiarity with GDPR regulations and compliance standards.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines, with flexibility in working hours to accommodate business needs.
  • Experience with CorePay is desirable, although training will be provided.
