Join our team as a MHE & FLT Operative based at our Frozen Warehouse in Darton, Barnsley
We are looking for hard working individuals that are enthusiastic and enjoy a challenge to join our team.
As an MHE and FLT operative, you will be responsible for the safe operation of various different piece of mechanical handling equipment, including, but not limited to: Articulated Fork Lift Trucks, Counterbalance Vehicles, Reach Trucks, PPTs, and Scissor Lifts.
The role will require consistent working within a Freezer environment, Personal Protective Equipment will be provided.

Details of location and shift pattern:
Shifts/hours: 40 hours per week working Monday to Friday, the working hours are from 7am to 3.30pm
Location: Company Shop Group, Interchange 38, Darton, Barnsley, S75 5NH
Rate of Pay: £14.75 per hour, paid on a four weekly basis
Please note, our team operates around the clock, 24/7, and the successful candidates will be required to work bank holidays.
Accountabilities and responsibilities:
· Operation of various pieces of MHE across the operation, ensuring safety as a matter of priority.
· Keeping up to date records, operating vehicles which you are licenced, and a willingness to upskill as necessary.
· Ensure all stock is taken care of in the proper manner.
· Ensure the completion of pre-use checks for vehicles, escalating non-conformance to line managers.
· Report all fault or issue trucks via the Vehicle Off Road (VOR) process.
· Loading and Unloading of Vehicles in a timely and safe manner via use of PPTs.
· Accurate and safe put-away, and collection of pallets into the warehouse.
· Use of Warehouse Management System to correctly put away pallets in the Database.
· Efficiently stack and store products in the appropriate areas.
· Check all pallets for put away are free from damage.
· Complete replenishment exercises for picking operations.
· Complete all required paperwork to expected standards.
· Assist with other warehouse duties as applicable.
Skills and Experience:
· Hold a valid AITT, RTITB or NPORS FLT Driver License
· To undertake and keep up to date with all mandatory training required for your role e.g. Manual Handling, Food Safety
· Experience of working in a busy warehouse environment
· Experience of working with an Operational environment
· Ability to work in Cold Store (up to -20degrees) environment
· Ability to handle operational changes to work within another area
· Computer literacy, able to use a warehouse management system and Microsoft office software
· A drive and focus for Health & Safety as well as Food Safety
· Teamwork focus as well as communicational aptitude
· Keep up to date with all relevant training for all operational areas
