An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual to join our established and dedicated Estates Team in a part time role. In this role you will contribute to ensuring that DHCFT delivers a high-quality service which meets the needs of all our patients and families in line with the DHCFT strategy. The Estates Department is seeking to recruit a highly motivated maintenance assistant to assist with PPM, minor works, and day to day reactive maintenance. The role will be based at Kingsway House, Derby.
Responsible for the operational delivery of a mandatory and statutory compliant Estates service in the areas listed below. This list is not exhaustive.
· Planned Preventative Maintenance
· Reactive Maintenance
· To carry out general fitting repairs to ward equipment, office equipment and estates related equipment.
· There is an occasional requirement for welding where the individual is competent.
· To carry out installation of fixtures and fittings (noticeboards, pictures, etc)
· To carry out general lamp cleaning/replacement
· To carry out minor repair work to domestic electrical equipment
· Assist all trades craftsmen, as required, on new and routine maintenance and improvement work.
· To carry out planned maintenance works as scheduled.
· Assist in carrying out fire alarm testing.
· Assist in carrying out Legionella control duties.
· To carry out monthly meter reading tasks
