Lead Delivery Consultant

Role Summary 

Lead end-to-end consulting delivery while driving new business growth. This role blends delivery leadership, team management, and relationship-led business development to deliver high-quality outcomes and convert credibility into new opportunities.

The Role 

Own delivery outcomes and revenue growth by leading engagements, building high-performing teams, and developing trusted partner relationships that generate new work. 

What you’ll be doing 

• Lead consulting engagements end-to-end (planning, governance, delivery, outcomes)  

• Manage delivery quality, commercials, and RAID disciplines  

• Build and lead blended teams (internal + subcontractors)  

• Develop senior stakeholder relationships across partner organisations  

• Originate, shape, and win new work (£25k–£250k opportunities)  

• Lead bids, proposals, and solution development  

• Contribute to thought leadership, marketing, and sector presence

• Strong consulting delivery leadership and governance experience  

• Proven ability to build and manage high-performing teams  

• Commercial awareness and experience winning or shaping work  

• Confident stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills  

• Experience in business development and bid leadership  

• Excellent communication and facilitation skills  

• Willingness to travel and engage in sector events  

Desirable: 

• Higher education sector experience  

• Experience in digital transformation, data, or change delivery  

• Familiarity with public sector procurement
