The Hope and Resilience Hub based within a Working Age Adult Acute Mental Health Service based at the Radbourne and Carsington Unit. The service is recovery-focussed in approach and which encompasses Occupational Therapy and Recreation Teams. We are committed to providing holistic, compassionate care, to support individuals with their wellbeing, skill development and prepare them for a safe community discharge.
We are currently seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Fitness Instructor to provide assessments and training sessions within our on site gyms, for service users who are being cared for within inpatient wards.

The post is 4 days per week, working 08.30 to 16.30, Monday to Friday (weekend work is also considered) in newly-equipped gyms, with support from the wider team, clinical supervision, an annual appraisal and development opportunities. The post may involve some cross site working over our two main acute services which are in walking distance of each other.
We are looking to recruit a suitably experienced Band 3 Fitness Instructor to join the Hope and Resilience Hub Team at the Radbourne and Carsington Unit.
The Fitness Instructor will work alongside the multi-disciplinary team in the Hope and Resilience Hub and also on the acute inpatient wards.
You will work with patients to provide therapeutic meaningful activities to support individuals' recovery and will be committed to delivering high quality, person-centred care within the gym environment promoting fitness and wellbeing.
We are an evolving team which is open to change and developing new ways of working and have a positive profile within the Trust and with service users and carers.
This role will involve facilitating and reviewing referrals, managing risks and communication to all professionals. Ensuring safety of gym equipment and assessing patient needs within the gym environment. It is anticipated that this will be achieved through MDT work, representing the team at unit level and within the Trust.
