Financial Director

Due to a forthcoming retirement, we have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Director to join our friendly team based in Chesterfield.

The successful candidate will be a key and trusted partner to the Managing Director/Owner as well as the Head Office and Operational Directors. The role’s objective is to increase the Company’s long-term profitability and provide financial services, analysis and advice to enable this to be effective.

The new Finance Director must be a qualified ACA/ACCA/ACMA with a strong track record as a Finance Director/CFO in a privately owned medium to large company or subsidiary of a corporate company within a multi-site sector. Displaying strong financial and analytical skills coupled with an outward looking and dynamic personality with the ability to convey complex financial and strategic views and information to non-financial managers.

Salary – Anticipated earnings between £85,000 and £100,000 depending on experience
Type – Permanent, Full Time

The remit of the role is broad; the key responsibilities include:

• Lead financial planning and analysis across the company. Ensuring relevant Management Information is timely, accurate and produced to be understood and used to drive business growth and profitability.
• Oversee/ generate all financial operations including, strategic forecasting, accounting, payroll and taxation.
• Ensure full compliance with statutory requirements including HMRC, Companies House and Audit regulations.
• Manage internal controls and processes within the finance and credit control functions.
• Be the primary point of contact with external auditors, bankers, insurance, and legal bodies.
• Strategic property portfolio advice.
• Lead, mentor and develop the finance and credit control teams and encouraging the culture of good financial control and understanding across the wider business.
