We’re excited to introduce a new opportunity in Manchester to join our dynamic Engineering team as an Engineering Manager, based at our brand-new flagship office in the heart of the city. This is not a role for someone who wants to sit back and wait for work to come to them — we’re looking for a high performer who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes initiative, and actively drives results.

You’ll take ownership of our critical corporate applications, ensuring they run at peak performance while also leading transformation projects that will shape the future of our business systems. You’ll be expected to analyse how we use our applications, identify areas for improvement, and automate processes to make our operations more efficient. This is a role for someone who moves quickly, thinks critically, and works collaboratively to make an impact every day.

  • Lead and manage a team of engineers to deliver high quality software solutions that meet agreed timelines, standards, and business objectives.
  • Set clear expectations, establish measurable goals, and actively drive a culture of accountability and high performance across the team.
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and development opportunities to direct reports to build capability and career growth.
  • Partner with Product Managers, Project Managers, and other Engineering Managers to align delivery priorities and manage dependencies.
  • Oversee end-to-end delivery within the engineering function, from planning and estimation to release and post deployment support.
  • Drive consistency in engineering practices, including code quality, architecture standards, and operational readiness.
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate delivery risks across projects and teams.
  • Contribute to workforce planning, recruitment, and onboarding to ensure optimal team structure and capability.
  • Support the Head of Engineering and Team Leader in implementing engineering wide initiatives, metrics, and process improvements.
