The UK and International Corporate Action teams sit within the Asset Servicing area of Operations and Customer Services. Reporting to the Operations Manager - Corporate Actions, the role holder is, under limited supervision, responsible for executing the timely and accurate end to end processing of all Corporate Action and Dividend events which have an impact on security positions held by our clients. We work in a fast paced, deadline driven high risk financial environment so attention to detail, efficiency, and accuracy is key.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for managing own workload, with a high degree of accuracy, ensuring the timely and appropriate escalation of risk events, breaches, and aged exceptions.

Analysis and interpretation of incoming market announcements from data vendors, creation of the event in our systems ensuring compliance with CRS and MiFID requirements.

Timely set up and distribution of event notifications to customers and acting on client elections accurately by acceptance deadline.

Ensuring corporate action entitlements are allocated to our customer accounts in an accurate and timely manner with correct book cost apportionment and subsequent post reconciliation tasks completed.

Processing of Dividends including reconciliations.

Adherence to the regulations that apply to Corporate Actions, Dividends and CASS regulations.

Own the end-to-end process of cross border events to ensure final settlement in the resultant market/custodian. Communication with other market participants concerning the timely settlement of market claims.

Processing of IPO events including elections and entitlements, and processing VCT applications when received from customers.

Processing proxy voting, ensuring accuracy and completeness and creating letters of representation to ensure customers are correctly represented at proxy events.

Liaise with external counterparties and agents / internal departments at all levels and external correspondents as required.

Interact daily with Customer Services, handling all front office and customer queries in a timely and efficient manner to deliver a first-class customer experience. Including Secures Messaging and FOBOW

Maintain the first line of compliance defence by ensuring individual adherence to business processes and procedures that are designed to meet the regulatory standards set out in the relevant FCA rules and guidance, with particular reference to CASS regulations, MiFID, CRS and Consumer Duty.

Analysing operational processes, identifying and progressing opportunities for improvement.

Assistance with ad hoc and scheduled projects as required.

Assist with system testing as required.

Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Essential

Minimum of 2 years’ experience working within an administration environment

Advanced ability to work in an environment which requires a high level of accuracy

Advanced organization skills to manage completion of daily tasks, workloads and meet exacting deadlines.

Advanced communication skills (written and verbal) – ability to build rapport with customers and 3rd parties across all communication channels, maintain calm during pressurised situations, and share information in a clear and logical manner

Advanced problem-solving skills

Ability to work unsupervised with excellent time management and prioritisation skills.

High degree of PC literacy

Desirable :

Corporate actions, Dividends or Reconciliations experience

Knowledge of the regulatory environment and associated risks.

Knowledge of the Financial Services Sector – specifically Wealth Management

Knowledge FCA rules, particularly those relating to CASS, MiFID, CRS and Consumer duty.
