Compliance Engineer

Model: Fully Time, Fully Onsite

Location: Derbyshire

We are looking for a Compliance Engineer with strong expertise in regulatory standards for industrial systems. This role is critical in ensuring that compliance is embedded throughout the entire product lifecycle, from initial concept through to deployment and ongoing support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure industrial products meet applicable regulatory and safety standards (e.g., CE, UL, ISO, IEC)

• Embed compliance requirements into all stages of the product lifecycle, including design, development, validation, and release

• Interpret and apply relevant regulations and standards to product designs and engineering processes

• Work closely with design, engineering, and quality teams to integrate compliance early in development

• Lead compliance assessments, risk analyses, and certification activities

• Maintain documentation and support audits, inspections, and regulatory submissions

• Monitor changes in industry regulations and ensure continuous compliance

Requirements:

• Proven experience in compliance engineering for industrial or manufactured products

• Strong knowledge of international regulatory standards and certification processes

• Experience integrating compliance into product lifecycle development

• Understanding of risk management and safety frameworks

• Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills

Essential:

• Demonstrable experience in industrial product compliance

Desirable:

• Experience with automation or control systems

• Familiarity with global market access requirements
