We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Consultant Psychiatrist on a substantive basis as part of our comprehensive CAMHS Service in North Derbyshire.
We offer £10,000 in addition to basic salary on commencement, with a further £10,000 after 2 years in post. An additional SPA beyond the usual allocation of 1.5 PAs will also be allocated to enable our appointee to undertake defined Care Unit support. Benefits will be pro rata for part time.
The successful Candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills and have a flexible approach. You will be a team player who enjoys working in a multi-disciplinary setting with highly experienced and skilled staff while being capable of providing clinical leadership for the team.
You will be based in Buxton, in the team covering the High Peak and Dales. This area is a mix of towns and villages and so has a varied population including farmers and other rural workers as well as commuters.
The team comprises of a team lead, psychologist, mental health practitioners and an ANP, as well regular input from CBT therapists and the family therapist for the service. Additionally, there is DBT available at the Buxton base from the DBT team.

The CAMHS service is part of the Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust which also benefits from co-location of comprehensive paediatric services, (paediatricians, paediatric ward, community therapists and nurses) and the disabled children’s social care team.
