About your new role:
We are on the lookout for a skilled Bid Writer to join our expanding Growth team. In this role, you will play the critical role of supporting our global sales efforts by developing persuasive, high-impact bid proposals that will help secure new business and clients. Reporting directly to the Head of Growth, you will collaborate cross-functionally with the business to craft high-quality content and strategic narratives that win competitive tenders and drive significant revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
As a Bid Writer, you will be required to undertake the following responsibilities as part of your day to day activities:
- Bid Management & Strategy:
- Lead the end-to-end bid writing process, from initial qualification and strategy development to final submission.
- Work closely with the sales lead to understand client requirements, pain points, and strategic objectives.
- Develop compelling bid strategies and win themes that differentiate SUPPLIERASSURANCE and highlight our unique value proposition.
- Manage bid timelines and ensure all deadlines are met with high-quality submissions.
- Content Creation & Development:
- Write clear, concise, and persuasive proposals, tenders, RFI/RFP responses, and other sales-enablement content.
- Translate complex technical information and product features into easily understandable benefits for a diverse audience.
- Develop (in collaboration with Marketing) and maintain a comprehensive library of reusable content, case studies, testimonials, and standard responses.
- Collaborate with teams such as Marketing, Product Development and Client Delivery to gather necessary information and ensure accuracy.
- Tailor content to specific client needs, industry trends, and competitive landscapes.
- Sales Enablement & Support:
- Act as a key content resource for the sales team, supporting them with the necessary collateral to articulate our value effectively.
- Proactively identify content gaps and develop new materials to support sales initiatives. Liaising closely with Marketing to support this.
- Participate in deal review meetings to understand the sales pipeline and prioritise bid opportunities.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our sales processes and tools.
- Quality Assurance & Compliance:
- Proofread and edit all bid documents to ensure grammatical accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines.
- Ensure all bids comply with client requirements, legal regulations, and internal policies.
- Conduct post-bid reviews to identify areas for improvement and best practice sharing.

To be successful for this role, you will ideally meet these requirements:
- Proven experience as a Bid Writer, Proposal Manager, or similar role within a B2B SaaS or technology environment.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills with a strong ability to craft compelling narratives and persuasive arguments.
- Ability to understand complex business challenges and translate them into winning bid strategies.
- Highly collaborative with the ability to build strong relationships with the Growth team, cross-functionally, and with senior stakeholders.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality, error-free work.
- A strong understanding of SaaS business models, cloud technologies, and software solutions with the ability to quickly grasp and articulate complex technical concepts.
- Essential: A Bachelors or Masters degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, English, or a related field.
- Desirable: A role-specific certification such as APMP.
