About the Role
The new government has provided a policy agenda that is positive for local transport planning– ranging from the creation of the National Wealth Fund and a mission to get 1.5 million more homes built, to commitments to sustainable transport through bus and rail reform and increased funding to mayoral combined authorities, to local government reform and the devolution agenda. For the first time in half a decade TfL has funding certainty and security and in collaboration with Boroughs is seeking to deliver on its transport ambitions.
Against this backdrop we are looking for a motivated problem-solver and collaborative professional to fill an Associate position with a focus on London and the South East.
You will be involved in helping governments, industry leaders, and communities develop vision-led policies and integrated strategies that drive sustainable growth, inclusive communities, and more resilient and safer networks. Our expertise spans transport, mobility, economic development, spatial planning, digitisation, and decarbonisation, helping ensure that policy decisions are future-proof and impactful.
With shifting political, economic, and environmental pressures, long-term planning has never been more challenging. We work in partnership with agencies at all scales of government and their delivery partners, to navigate complexity, pioneering pragmatic, evidence-based solutions that embrace uncertainty rather than fear it.
Our team of planners and strategists balances creativity with real-world practicality, developing policies that respond to local needs, support economic growth, and improve quality of life. We engage communities, stakeholders, and decision-makers, building consensus and making the case for change with trusted, expert advice.
