    Main Purpose of Job:

    As a Warehouse Operative you will support the movements of shipments from our warehouses for vehicle loads, ensuring unique reference numbers are checked against each collection.


    The role also involves but is not limited too:

    • Receive shipments into the warehouse checking documents, unique reference number, quantity and signs of damage or tampering. Locating all shipments once checked and referenced.
    • Receive pick requests for processing
    • Pick, pack and process stock picks
    • Liaise effectively with other departments regarding operational logistics
    • Fine art and object handling
    • Stock/inventory management
    • Using a forklift
    • Update POD details for 3RD party domestic movements
    • General warehouse maintenance
    • Receive and dispatch daily vehicles following specific security instructions.
    • To undertake additional duties, or assist other members of staff, as may be reasonably requested by your manager or the Directors.


    Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (This is subject to change dependant on client requests)



    Essential:

    Skills

    • Experience of warehouse work; including operation, stock locations and health & safety
    • Pivot Steer Forklift Licence, with experience
    • A full clean UK Driving Licence
    • Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively at all levels
    • Strong numeracy and problem-solving skill
    • Ability to prioritise and manage workload under tight deadline
    • High attention to detail and accuracy
    • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)

    Knowledge

    • Experience in shipping and logistics
    • Understanding of shipping documentation, customs entries, and transport processes
    • Good command of the English language, written and spoken

    • Customer-focused, with a professional and proactive attitude.
    • Reliable, adaptable, and able to work under pressure.

     

    Desirable

    • Experience of using Boxtop
    • Experience of using DPD Program
