What we’re looking for: 

Smart, energetic and inquisitive individuals to join our core Operations team in Manchester. You will perform a critical role in delivering and supporting first class operational execution and client support through the Proxymity platform and ancillary systems and processes. 

You will become a key contributor throughout the growth phases of Proxymity, supporting various pivotal activities and will have the opportunity to expand and develop your remit and role as the needs of the business continue to grow. 

Core Responsibilities: 

The core responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to; 

  • Complete Proxy Voting processes, including task verification, and control activities in line with procedures and policies 
  • Ensure Proxy Voting assigned queries are managed in accordance with agreed KPIs 
  • Understand and track current and future workloads and prepare appropriate plans to ensure balanced assignment across the team 
  • Adapt and assign resources appropriately to manage daily workloads 
  • Ensure all team members are adequately trained to complete assigned functions and tasks 
  • Execute daily tasks with a client focused approach 
  • Work in partnership with global operations hubs and other internal stakeholders 
  • Ask questions to challenge the status quo 
  • Identify opportunities for process, platform and control environment improvements 
  • Organise and monitor operational participation and engagement with the change agenda 
  • Review, understand, and operate within Standard Operating Procedures and be responsible for maintaining their integrity through continuous review and validation 
  • Day to day management of team workloads and priorities 
  • Act as point of contact for the team to internal / external partners and stakeholders 
  • Proactively seek opportunities for self-improvement and provide feedback to the ongoing development of team members 
  • Provide cover for the Team Lead as necessary and assist with administrative managerial duties 
  • Actively work within the team to ensure goals and targets are met or exceeded 
  • Assist with the hiring and training of new employees to the team 
  • Create a culture of inclusion and belonging, leading by example 
  • Escalate issues and / or concerns that impact the business, your role or personal wellbeing in a timely manner 
  • Be an ambassador for the team, Operations and Proxymity, always 
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience within an operations environment 
  • Experience of operational workflow tools and processes 
  • Strong attention to detail 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite of applications 
  • Team orientated with the ability to build positive relationships and work collaboratively with internal and external partners, peers and clients 
  • Ability to work self-sufficiently with strong organisational skills 
  • Ability to execute in a high pressure, fast paced environment 
  • Flexibility to manage changing priorities and respond to time constraints 
  • Fast learning to understand complex business processes and take initiative to acquire necessary knowledge 
  • Innovative mindset to identify opportunities for process and control improvements 
  • Desire to develop and maintain technical skills to build effective solutions for the business 
  • Seeks and acts upon feedback with a focus on personal development 

 Desirables: 

  • Understanding of the Securities Services industry and Asset Servicing products, or similar 
  • Experience of working within a start-up / scale-up organisation 
  • Experience of managing projects from inception to delivery 
  • Problem solving and critical thinking skills 
  • Supervisory experience leading or organising teams or processes 
  • Fluency in another language 
  • Practical experience of working with remote teams 
  • Knowledge of programming / coding languages and applications
