We are currently looking for a Human Resources Administrator to join our HR Team based in Bury. As a Human Resources Administrator, you will provide a comprehensive HR administrative support function to the team and the business, in line with company and legal processes.

The salary banding for this role is £24,000 - £26,000 per annum, depending on experience. The working hours are 35 hours per week, from Monday to Friday. The role is hybrid working, 3 days in our office and 2 days working from home.

(Please note: due to our extensive induction programme, a higher level of office attendance will be required during the initial months)

Key Accountabilities

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Coordinate all stages of the recruitment process including creating adverts, arranging and conducting interviews, liaising with agency partners, benchmarking and all onboarding administration.
  • Process all onboarding administration to ensure a smooth experience for new starters.

Administration  

  • Manage the HR Inbox, responding to queries promptly, professionally and accurately.
  • Draft and issue HR-related letters (e.g. contract changes, probation outcomes)
  • Process all offboarding administration including resignation letters, exit interviews and system updates.
  • Update and maintain employee records using the company HR software,  ensuring accuracy and confidentiality (e.g.sickness absence)
  • Update and enhance the CBS Connect Intranet with all people related activities.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of company events and staff entertainment. 
  • Provide basic advice to managers when needed on issues including conduct, absence, performance and recruitment, escalating where appropriate.
  • Support with formal and informal ER processes (e.g. probation, return-to-work interviews, note taking in hearings)
  • Produce ad hoc reports as requested by management.
  • Ensure adherence to company HR policies and procedures.
  • Make suggestions for improvements and efficiencies within the HR function.

Payroll & Benefits

  • Gather payroll data and update the payroll exceptions log with any changes.
  • Support the HR Coordinator with administering company benefits including BUPA, Medicash, pensions, and salary sacrifice schemes.

CBS Culture and Wellbeing 

  • Support the HR Team with a range of initiatives relating to wellbeing and engagement, including assisting with the annual wellbeing and engagement plan.
  • Ensure all CBS customer centricity standards are adhered to.
  • Support the HR Coordinator with the CBS Feel Good Day Initiative.
  • Help Coordinate the Monthly HR Newsletter.

Qualifications

  • Level 3 CIPD Qualification or working towards it (desirable)
  • Degree Educated (desirable)

HR Skills and experience

  • Previous experience as an HR Administrator or similar role
  • Understanding of general HR policies and procedures
  • Previous experience managing recruitment processes
  • Familiarity with HR Information Systems (HRIS)
  • Up to date employment law knowledge and understanding of implications on the business of this (desirable)
  • Professional writing skills, including emails, reports, presentations, correspondence and policies

Communication/interpersonal skills

  • Ability to adopt a curious and analytical approach and challenge in a positive way
  • Excellent verbal communicator with the ability to develop relationships across all areas of the business, including at the Director level

Technical/IT skills

  • Previous experience using Sage (Desirable)
  • IT literate – MS Office and HR Software
